Using our "Scouting through the Ages" theme the Beavers made Cave Man clothes.

I think there must have been some REALLY colourful cavemen!

The Beavers also made a great banner that we hung in the campfire area.

The mess hall was busy with all the little Beavers happily working on their crafts.
The Cubs built rockets out of pop bottles.

The pop bottle rockets were filled with water and placed on this launcher.
It used compressed air to fill them and make them take off!

A leader and a Beaver watch as the rockets are launched. Notice the black sky coming in?

Alberta has a lot of daylight in the spring and the summer. This is our campfire and it started at 8:30 at night!
Scouter Greig had one Beaver, one Cub, one Scout and one Venturer help light the campfire.

After the campfire we collected ashes to bring on to our next campfire.
The ashes to this campfire go back many years to Scouting events all over
the world.
